Movies as special-effects-laden as The Matrix usually produce two or more disc DVDs that delve into every aspect of their production. While it was suprising that a movie as groundbreaking as this (released on DVD in 1999) was only a single disc, most of the stuff on it pleased the growing fan base. Now, two years later, they decide to come out with the supplemental disc that never was. The Matrix Revisited is, basically, Disc 2. But is this too much too late? We cant ignore the fact that this seems like a lame way to drum up interest in the upcoming sequelswait a minute is that Trinity looking all Morpheused-out? Is that Agent Smith returning with a ponytail? Does Neo take on an army of kung fu baddies in one of the upcoming sequels? Holy shit! OK mission accomplished guys, were psyched.
