Peter Jackson’s Orc-gy of swords and sorcery continues with this impressive (despite having no beginning or end) and battle-heavy middle chapter. Like The Fellowship of the Ring, the Two Towers’ two-disc release will be followed by a heftier four-disc package in November, but its two-plus hours of features will satisfy those craving another toke of Tolkien.

Extras range as far and wide as the movie itself: “On the Set” documentary; “Return to Middle-earth” feature; The Long and Short of It (a short film directed by Sean Astin); the making of The Long and Short of It; eight featurettes on the people and places of Middle-earth; original trailers and TV spots; “Gollum’s Song,” performed by Emiliana Torrini; preview of Electronic Arts’ The Return of the King video game. The list goes on (below, ya moron). Fans will flock to this for a glimpse of the concluding chapter, The Return of the King, revealed for the first time in a 10-minute behind-the-scenes feature.
