On the surface, the premise for Aqua Teen Hunger Force has all the trappings of a pothead brainstorming session en route to Jack in the Box: A milkshake (Master Shake), a box of fries (Frylock), and a wad of meat (Meatwad) fight crime from their neighbor’s pool. But you have to trust us, the absurdity works. From the b-boy hip-hop theme song and ridiculous peripheral characters to their secret location near the Jersey Shore, you’ll laugh straight through each mysterious episode. (Just like Murder She Wrote!) Extras include commentary on select episodes, never-before-seen footage of the Force from San Diego Comic Con International 2002, and the extended version of the pilot. If you don’t already have a favorite set of crime-fighting snack foods, make it the Aqua Teen Hunger Force. If you do, it’s time to put the pipe down and get a job.
