This ’80s classic not only serves as a “before its time” send-up of reality TV, it features thrilling governor vs. governor action! All-new bonus material includes “Lockdown on Main Street,” a thorough investigation into the USA Patriot Act and the many new ways the government can access your personal information since 9/11. (Let’s just say you should hold off on the donkey show downloads for a little while.) “Game Theory” exposes the smarmy tactics used on reality shows by interviewing producers, contestants, and critics, and there’s also the standard director and producer commentary. But the grand prize here is “Meet the Stalkers.” Get vital stats on Ahnuld’s deadliest on-screen foes, from host Killian to the dicey Buzzsaw—including their highlights from the flick, their costumes, and, naturally, their lethal weapons. Who could have ever guessed that such a promising start for reality TV would devolve into midget dating shows and bull-testicle-eating contests?
