Since outlining in detail why you need The Simpsons collection in your home is like explaining why you need a pony keg built into your nightstand, we'll let the facts speak for themselves. The fourth season marks the point at which the best animated show ever hit its stride and became the institution so often quoted by our nation's most annoying college students. Conan O'Brien had his hand in a number of these episodes, and any one of them is worth an immediate playback—which you can now do with commentary on all 22 episodes by the show's writers and producers. Art freaks can soak in animation showcases featuring early sketches, storyboards, and different angles on select episodes. The show's early controversies are addressed, including correspondence between Barbara Bush and Marge following Barbara's criticism of the show as "the dumbest thing I've ever seen." Deleted scenes and leftover commercials offer up new and long forgotten footage (Butterfinger, anyone?), while you can also view select episodes in different languages, like French and Spanish. We gusta!
