We appreciate classic comic book movie adaptations as much as the next guy living in his mom's basement, but we can really get giddy over a movie featuring a Marvel offspring who doesn't wear tights, doesn't spare lives, and definitely doesn't give a fuck about no R rating. Frank Castle (Thomas Jane) hit the bloody road of revenge packing a shitload of ammo, and now The Punisher hits your DVD player packing a shitload of extras. The purposefully non-CG approach to the movie's stunts and fights lead to "Keepin' It Real," an in-depth behind-the-camera and under-the-car look at the combat sequences, car jumps, and building implosions. "War Journal" listens in on the preproduction arguments between director and producers, while "Drawing Blood" sits down at the drafting board with current Punisher cover artist Tim Bradstreet to sketch movie posters. There's also a history of the Punisher's origins from his first appearances in late '60s Marvel books, and true fanatics can find an exclusive Punisher comic book serving as a prequel to the movie's story in limited-edition DVDs. If you don't take this one home, you're only punishing yourself.
