Will Ferrell stars as a human raised by elves in what's destined to replace A Christmas Story as your new go-to kid-friendly holiday movie. Filled with enough goofy gags and goofy Ferrell, Elf will do more for your family's bonding than a gallon of spiked eggnog. Now the DVD comes packing plenty of extras. Get to the bottom of the elf legend with the fact track that plays along during the movie, or take in a surprisingly earnest commentary from Ferrell. "That's a Wrap…" sits down in postproduction with director John Favreau to edit, while "How They Made the North Pole" profiles the hard work it took to construct Santa's hometown. There's also plenty of funny leftovers, including a day on the set with Ferrell (from makeup to tights) and deleted scenes, the highlight of which features Ferrell beating the shit out of a bunch of elves in an ice hockey game. Looks like Carolina fans just found their lockout solution.
