Before Burt Reynolds saw three comebacks and twice as many facelifts, he was the most dangerous football player this side of Rae Carruth. Now he suits up for the Lockdown Edition to head back into the yard with the greatest football movie ever made. Get details from the remaining living cast and crew on "Doing Time On The Longest Yard," in which Burt relives his glory days on the field, and on film, and producer Albert Ruddy praises the pros' dedication to the flick (they drew up plays to catch the unsuspecting actors off guard). More on-field secrets pop up in "Unleashing the Mean Machine," which is staged like a season-in-review special straight off of ESPN. Burt shows up again to talk about his visit to the Georgia State Prison (apparently convicts aren't that nice to Hollywood pretty boys), while the rest of the cast recounts the fear inspired by Ray Nitschke's on-set threats and tantrums. Commentary with Reynolds and Ruddy is the only other extra on the disc, but the flick alone makes this the best football DVD since The Super Bowl Shuffle.
