Linda Lovelace has probably influenced more sex lives than the birds and the bees combined. And while Inside Deep Throat offers plenty of insight on the woman who revolutionized the BJ, this documentary also details the influence the first mainstream hardcore film had on the mob, the porn industry, and the orthodontics industry. (OK, maybe not that last one.) If the movie doesn't answer all of your questions, you can find another mouthful of details in the extras. Head to the courthouse to chart the nuances of the many trials that plagued the flick—from Princeton to Hollywood to a Harvard mess hall—with accounts from lawyers, judges, and the defendants who eventually…ahem, got off. The chilling "Where In The World Is Bobby De Salvo" tracks the mobster and national distributor of Deep Throat, who hasn't been heard from since 1976. In contrast, there's also a goofy piece on the 4,400-member Harry Reems' Athletic Club—Reems was the male lead in DT—as well as the "Zen of Deep Throat," which advises on the breathing, positions, and techniques necessary for the big gulp. Just relax, all of the featurettes are short and sweet, ensuring that even a novice can take it all in the first time.
