The Coen brothers' cult hit made serious bowlers look even more ridiculous than they do on ESPN, and with a creepily obsessed following, The Big Lebowski could be a bare bones release and still attract legions of DVD fans. But like an old pair of bowling shoes, The Achiever's Edition comes littered with surprising gifts: namely, a collectible bowling towel, an eight-pack of pictures from the set taken by star Jeff Bridges, and coasters bearing instructions for fixing the Dude's "Primo Caucasian." The featurettes, on the other hand, are minimal. A special, tongue-in-cheek introduction to the film reveals that the flick was originally titled Mr. Marijuana in Italy, while the "Making of The Big Lebowski" travels back in time to chat with the stars in costume on set. The only other extra flashes through a gallery of Bridges' photography, but with a movie this good, it's still worth picking up like a seven–10 split.
