Sin City: Recut, Extended, Unrated

The most cringe-inducing comic book movie adaptation besides Fantastic Four gets the royal treatment on this two-disc blowout edition. The extended version of the flick tacks on 17 more minutes and also allows you to watch the movie's four stories separately, while a bounty of commentary tracks include the fanatical Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino interrupting each other and a special guest appearance by Bruce Willis. "A Hard Top With a Decent Engine" heads out with the transportation coordinator to hunt down the 21 classic cars used in the flick, while the quick "Booze, Broads, and Guns" gives props to the props coordinator who taught Jessica Alba how to lasso. A standard make-up featurette reveals how to make Mickey Rourke ugly (it's a pretty short featurette), and the eye-opening "All Green Screen Version" exposes exactly how much post-production work went into the look of this stylized noir flick. More extras include exclusive footage on the set of Tarantino's shoot, Frank Miller interviews, and the only costume featurette we've ever watched. Hmmm…Jessica Alba in leather chaps.
