While the Oscar-nominated biopic about Johnny Cash's life was an amazing film filled with amazing performances, the single disc widescreen DVD release settles for rentable. Along with the flick, the only extras here include a monotonous commentary track with director James Mangold about Cash's life, and 10 deleted scenes that catch more of Joaquin Phoenix's Cash impersonation. Skip this regular edition and plunk down the extra cash for the extra Cash on the two-disc collector's set.
