After four pretty good seasons, and the blockbuster Superman Returns this past summer, we thought Smallville was going the way of Lois & Clark. (Exactly.) But there's still life in this origins show about Clark Kent's journey from small town superdude to the savior of the world. While it teeters dangerously close to being a typical, crappy WB teen drama, there are a few moments of TV greatness. Example: The 100th episode has some big shocks that change the whole trajectory of the show, plus they managed to make Aquaman almost seem cool. Of the 24 episodes, at least 10 are throwaways, and some of the product placements are more prominent than the actual characters, but you can skip that junk and focus on the ones that move the whole Superman plot further. Or the times you get to see Lois Lane in a bikini. Hey, Clark, that better be a Kryptonian crystal in your pocket.
