Mission: Impossible - The Second TV Season

Even though we loved the first season of Mission: Impossible on DVD, season two was the one we were really waiting for, because it introduced Mr. Phelps. Yep, Peter Graves (a.k.a.: the gray-haired, perverted pilot from Airplane) stepped into the IMF-team-leader position, and the show changed dramatically. Phelps was the superspy glue that held it all together, and the character continues to be our hero, despite what they did to him in the first Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible movie. (It's blasphemy!) The 25 episodes aren't campy like CHiPs or Hawaii Five-O, but always had complex and smart plots that still hold up almost 40 years later.
