Even with all the sport parodies (Blades of Glory, Talladega Nights) we still found this really funny, and not just because of the title. Made in the same spirit of Kingpin, only not quite as dirty, this is a piss-take on the world of competitive ping-pong, and has enough "ball" jokes to challenge a random conversation around our office. Dan Fogler, a mix between Jack Black and a fatter Jack Black, is a washed-up child ping-pong prodigy who's enlisted by the FBI to catch an evil mastermind and infiltrate his Bloodsport-like Tournament of Champions. Fogler's comedic timing is steady throughout; and the movie's loaded with quick and funny performances, from Christopher Walken to Patton Oswalt to Thomas Lennon (Lt. Dangle on Reno 911!) to the outrageously hot and fit Maggie Q. It's no comedy classic, but it's got balls; and that's all we need to have a good time. (Wait, that didn't come out right…)
