The Skinny: Following the further adventures of Young Indiana Jones (Sean Patrick Flanery), the third volume of this '90s TV series takes the intrepid adventurer from Istanbul to Chicago. Along the way, he meets every person of historical and cultural significance you can possibly imagine.

Reminded Us Of… The opening 10 minutes of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, history class, George Lucas' fetishistic need to see all of his characters as children.

The Good: The show is light on action, adventure, and thrills (which are kind of big Indy trademarks), but if you've waded through the first two volumes you are rewarded with the classic "Mystery of the Blues" episode costarring Harrison Ford as older Indy in the 1950s. It's a nice taste of what's in store in Crystal Skull.

The Bad: Again, the show's drier than Tom Waits' vocal chords, and the whole concept—that somehow Indiana Jones manages to meet every major literary, military, musical, political, and social figure in history, even effing Count Dracula—is pretty ludicrous.

Best Extra: The extras in general are the best part. Since the show is just history class set to a soundtrack, the documentaries on all the significant historical figures and events go deeper, and end up being much more informative and interesting than the show.
