In District 9, a mousy South African bureaucrat named Wikus (Sharlto Copley) finds himself at first trapped in the alien ghetto he's trying to clear out and then, well, he finds himself much closer to the aliens than he ever expected to be (slight spoilers ahead if you haven't already seen the movie).
In these deleted scenes from the new District 9 DVD (released yesterday), we see the lengths Wikus is willing to go to survive (note how unfailingly polite he is, even when strapped with alien weaponry) and we sympathize as his unique, um, condition overwhelms the local free clinic.
