What it Promises:
Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson together again for the first time since How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days! OMG! TOTES!

What it Delivers:
This is a movie for people who felt that the National Treasure films had become too dense and impenetrable. Your basic romantic comedy with action movie ambitions, Fool's Gold is neither exciting nor funny nor romantic nor interesting. We hope Donald Sutherland was able to pull himself out of whatever financial or personal hell forced him to sign up for this.

Best Part:
That time when Kate was all "I'm mad at you!" and Matthew was all, "Whatevs. I'm taking my shirt off." And she's all, "I totally love you." And he's all, "Hey, treasure!" But seriously-the best thing in this movie is Ray Winstone's southern accent. Finally, an accent Kevin Costner's accent from Robin Hood can make fun of.

Worth the money?
Not even worth the time to tell you it's not worth the money.
