As if a trip to New Jersey isn't depressing enough, try a trip to the swamplands coupled with your mother's funeral while quitting antidepressants cold turkey. But this recipe for disaster—written by, directed by, and starring Zach Braff of Scrubs—turns out to be an extremely entertaining look at what it's like to be angry, bored, and attractive enough to get cast in an independent movie in your mid-20s. The extras feature plenty of Braff as he spills the high school and college anecdotes that inspired the movie's off-kilter subplots and characters. In the feature-length commentary, he points out family members who made the flick as extras, while in the deleted scenes, he reveals what it was like to teach costar Jean Smart how to smoke out of a bong. (Short answer: giggly.) The making-of featurette covers everything from set design to craft services—including one of the tastiest looking PB&J&Cheetos sandwiches we've ever seen. There are also outtakes that feature leg-humping dog bloopers, casting a less inspiring, more realistic light on what it's really like in the Garden State.
