Put that remote down, hit the bricks, and go pick up this DVD, you son-of-a-bitch. To mark its 10-year anniversary, Glengarry Glen Ross, possibly the most eagerly awaited DVD aside from the Reservoir Dogs special edition, does up the two-disc treatment like only a true closer could. Get the skinny on how things went down on the set from director James Foley, including the fact that he purposely didn’t bring Alec Baldwin in until halfway through production so the rest of the cast could bond without—and against—him. Or hear Alan Arkin state simply and without a trace of irony that nailing dialogue-heavy scenes take after take just “wasn’t fun.” Even the tribute to Jack Lemmon fights through the sap to get to his last appearance on Inside the Actors Studio with James Lipton—where the grandfatherly actor reveals his favorite swear word to be “cock-sucking motherfucker.”
