Between the flying broomsticks, 100 characters we can't keep straight, or stupid words like "muggles," we've accepted Harry Potter just isn't for us. Still, they keep making movies that don't suck, so we've got to give them some credit. Potter and the gang are back; and this time they're fighting off the biggest villain of all: puberty. (Seriously, how the hell are they gonna make the remaining two films when these kids are growing faster than John Goodman's stomach?) Okay, they're really fighting a nasty bitch that's turning their beloved school into a frustrating bureaucracy and the noseless Lord Voldemort, who's still angry about something or other. The first half hour almost put us to sleep, but it's not that bad once it gets going. Even the second disc of extras gives a worthwhile tour of their massive studio. (Say what you want about those books we'll never read, but the effort they put into these movies ain't no joke.) If we were 15 years old and wizard nerds, then this would be our Star Wars. But since we prefer big guns to puny wands, it'll never win us over completely. However, Hermione's looking very cute and turns 18 in April, 2008, so there's still hope yet.
