The Skinny: The world's been decimated by a virus and Will Smith, in his customary hero role, is holed up in New York City surrounded by wildlife and vampire-like monsters.
Reminded Us Of Cast Away, 28 Days Later, Outbreak, I, Robot
The Good: The main high point is the alternate ending, which makes amends for the horrible theatrical cop-out. NYC being completely empty looked amazing on Blu-ray.
The Bad: This has some of the worst CGI creatures we've ever seen, which looked even worse on Blu-ray. The story, which was adapted from classic source material, is completely destroyed. That's what you get when you let the guy who wrote Batman & Robin get a crack at the screenplay.
Best Extra: The making-of documentary "Creating I Am Legend"
