For those of you who thought "If only Peter Jackson's epic 3-hour version of King Kong were a bit longer," your nerdy prayers are answered. With an additional 13 minutes of footage added into the film (running time is a colon clenching: 3 hours and 21 minutes), and an extra 38 minutes worth of deleted scenes, this could put you in a coma if you're not careful. As for the movie, it's better on DVD than the theater because it needs some kind of intermission being that it's two movies jammed into one: the island and the city. As for extras, like with the LOTR trilogy, Jackson is a master. Now if he could only share some diet tips for his legions of Doritos-addicted fans. You guessed it: us.
