Sir Ridley Scott's crusade epic becomes even more of an epic in this four-disc director's cut release. Clocking in at just over three hours, the film dares you to differentiate between this version and the already lengthy original. The seemingly unlimited special features ramble through everything even remotely related to the film, including an overwhelming six-part feature-length documentary on every aspect of movie-making. There's also useless early rehearsal footage, standard visual effects breakdowns, and more than we could get to over the weekend. You may not be able to have enough of a good thing, but you can have enough DVD extrassave your money and wait for Ridley's next new movie.
