Say what you will about David Hasselhoff; the man made a show about a crime-fighter and his talking car last four years. Knight Rider: Season One marks the return of Michael Knight and K.I.T.T., and we welcome them both with open DVD racks. Besides getting all 22 episodes from the first season, the pilot episode doesn't just rekindle our memories of Knight's origins, but comes equipped with commentary from Hasselhoff and creator Glen Larson. Other extras include "Knight Moves," in which the show's stunt driver discusses off-set pranks they pulled on bewildered fans and the different models of the Pontiac used for particular stunts. "Knight Sounds" takes that addictive theme song a little too seriously in an encyclopedic conversation with the song's composer, Stu Phillips, and "Under the Hood" gets everyone together to reminisce about the show. K.I.T.T. even comes with an Owner's Manual, featuring a driver's-eye view of what Knight had at his disposal along with functions for each button and control. All of this is almost enough to convince us that David is talented enough to succeed in his new rap career as Hassel the Hoff. Almost.
