Whether it's the dumb-as-rock villains, poorly dubbed dialogue, or Jackie Chan–style dialogue, kung fu flicks have always been counted on to provide laughs. But Kung Fu Hustle is one of the few intentionally funny imports that boasts a genuine sense of humor to match its ultra-stylized fight sequences. Now you can go behind the wire harnesses on a DVD that's stuffed with extra material. Sit down for an informative one-on-one with writer, producer, director, and star Stephen Chow, in which he talks about his career, his film, and what it's like working four jobs at once. While they don't feature any more kicking or punching, the pair of deleted scenes offers different takes on two jokes that made the final version. A subtitled behind-the-scenes featurette packages tons of information on stunts and script writing with the same bizarre sense of humor as the film. Then there's the obligatory outtakes reel, which reveals a cast more than willing to crack up at its own jokes—whether it was in the middle of a punch line or a jump punch.
