Lady in the Water

We wanted to hate this, and if we watched it again completely sober we probably would. But on the first go-round, it kept our attention way more than we expected. A mysterious woman who (SPOILER ALERT…unless you read the title) lives in water takes up residence in an apartment complex. The super, Paul Giamatti, takes her under his nerdy wings and has to do a lot of stuff to get her back home. That's as basic as we can make this, because this "bedtime story" is all over the place. It's pretty dumb and slapped together at times, but at least it was interesting. They packed on a lot of extras, but who really wants to hear all these people prattle on about a sloppy fairy tale. Oh, and if you hate M. Night Shyamalan's movies, and a lot of people do, don't even bother. Cause you'll think it's completely retarded.
