11. Smokey and the Hotwire Gang (1979)

Ripped off: Smokey and the Bandit (1977)
This is the movie equivalent of those Chinatown Rolex watches that don't even try to hide their knockoff-ness. Smokey and the Hotwire Gang? Why not just call it Rurt Beynolds and his Black Trans Am? Hotwire featured bumbling hick cops, rowdy Good Ol' Boys, and plenty of CB lingo. All it was missing was stars, a script, and success.

How can you put Sleepaway Camp as a ripoff of Friday the 13th when they are BOTH ripoffs of Bay of Blood?
