For this month's over-the-top Shoot 'Em Up, the typically furrow-browed Owen ditched his trademark heady, macabre roles in favor of a gangbusters action-comedy flick. Playing the unlikely hero Mr. Smith, Owen is a man with no last name, no identity, no home, and about 15,000 different methods for putting a bullet in someone's brain. With an orphaned infant thrust upon him, a sexed-up prostitute in tow, and a seemingly endless supply of foes hot on his tail, Owen's Smith smoothly locks, loads, and kills everything in his path.
