The Pitch: An ex cop (Sam Worthington) framed for a crime he didn’t commit threatens to jump off a Manhattan building as part of a master heist to clear his name.

What It Really Is: A clever and fast-paced action movie that’s sure to win over everyone who was put off by the laughably obvious title. Worthington is slick as the ledge man, but the real thrills come from the gorgeous Genesis Rodriguez and amusing Jamie Bell. Ed Harris shows up as the evil bad guy (as always), and Elizabeth Banks keeps her awesome streak of awesomeness alive by pulling off the ragged police psychologist without a hitch. The film echoes the underrated The Negotiator throughout, and some of the twists are a bit far-fetched even for such an outlandish premise, but it’ll still keep you on the edge of the couch.

Genesis Rodriguez Is Super Hot: In case you didn’t fully appreciate our praise of her in the blurb above, here’s a photo to further our argument.

Does Blu-ray Make a Difference? Yes. They actually shot this movie on a real ledge at the Roosevelt Hotel in NYC and it’s on perfect display. (Fun fact: It’s only a few blocks from Maxim headquarters!)
