The Skinny: A virginal high schooler (Josh Zuckerman), fed up with being the "sweet guy" who never gets laid, hijacks a GTO from his douche bag brother (James Marsden) and hits the road with his unflappably confident best friend (Clark Duke) to hunt down a mysterious hottie he "met" online. Amish people ensue.

The Good: On the surface, this looks like the unholy union of American Pie and Road Trip because, well, it is. But it's also a lot funnier than that would imply. It all comes down to a mix of an extremely likable cast with cringingly funny set pieces. Perennial good guy Marsden relishes his chance to be a jerk, and his scenes are hilarious. This movie will also get a lot of people to start noticing Clark Duke, and it's deserved.

The Bad: There isn't a ton of originality on display. Making fun of the Amish? Sure, the jokes are generally worth a chuckle (mostly thanks to Seth Green) but talk about a target that's about as fresh as an unwashed butter churn. And the "twist" involving Marsden's character is impossibly weak—we'd say "spoiler warning," but, honestly, if you can't see it coming there's no hope for you. But, hell, if you're looking for a movie to reinvent the teen comedy for you, you're looking in the wrong place.

He is the Duke, He is A-Number 1: Wondering where you've seen Clark Duke before? Unless you have Superbad on Blu-Ray (he's in the background at one of the party scenes), it was probably on Clark and Michael.

Theater, DVD, or TNT in Five Years? Go see it. It'll take you mind off the collapse of civilization as we know it.
