If this is girl power, sign us up. Instead of burnt bras, hairy armpits, and lesbians, we get Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore prancing around in skimpy outfits and inserting stilettos in bad-guy ass while playing Top That Innuendo. Joining the party this time around is fallen angel Demi Moore making her big-screen comeback and Bernie Mac opening up a whole new can of race jokes as the new Bosley. But the guy who pastes it all up is director McG, who strings together so many action mcsequences at a stroke-inducing (oh, grow up) rate that you won’t even care that there’s supposed to be a story in there. He’s also mastered the fine art of punctuating each and every ass slap with whip cracks (we lost count after 13), emphasizing the soft-core porn element essential to the Angels experience. If you don’t already have ADD, you’ll get it. If you don’t already have an appreciation for the fine art of seductive crime-fighting, you’ll get it. And if you don’t already have an appreciation for Cameron Diaz and her ass-dancing solos, may God have mercy on your soul.
