Catch That Kid

Being a teenager is hard, especially if your dad will die without a rare $250,000 operation. And while those are certainly terrible circumstances, they don’t begin to compare with the senses-crippling torment of Catch That Kid. The girl who’s found herself in such an unnecessarily depressing situation for a children’s flick is Maddy (Kristen Stewart), and she’s recruited her two best friends to help her break into the bank where her mom works. (The good news: Her mom is played by the still surprisingly hot, and newly minted Showtime lesbian, Jennifer Beals). Using Maddy’s rock climbing skills, Boy #1’s computer nerd skills, and Boy #2’s mechanical proficiencies, the kids set out on their “mission without permission” (the press kit’s words, not ours). We won’t tell you what happens next, but that’s only because we left early. Save this one for your little brother—if he’s comatose.
