The Whole Ten Yards

Back when he was jumping out of skyscrapers and taking out Euro-trash terrorists, we’d have followed Bruce Willis into a burning building. But after toiling through The Whole Ten Yards, we’re going to have trouble following him into a movie theater again. If you missed the first one, it goes something like this: Willis’ character will kick your ass, while Matthew Perry’s will slip and fall on his way to cowering behind it. Joined by the alluring Amanda Peet, and in search of the equally drop-dead Natasha Henstridge, our mismatched duo battles wits with a recently paroled Mob boss (Kevin Pollak can still get work—good for him!) looking for revenge. Perry unleashes more forced slapstick than a Jerry Lewis highlight reel, whereas Willis just looks pained fighting through the recycled script. It’s movies like this that give the Mob a bad name.
