Concert films suckthey always go on too long, dull down what was probably an amazing in-person experience, and generally miss the little things that make live concerts so much fun (like girls flashing their tits). Awesome; I Fuckin' Shot That! does the incredibleit actually breaks new ground for the invariably shitty concert film genre. The Beasties handed out 50 DV cameras to fans at one of their Madison Square Garden gigs with the only instruction being, "Shoot whatever you want, but shoot the entire show"which they did, including even bathroom breaks. What you get is an ADHD masterpiece assembled by band member Adam Yauch (under his nom de film, Nathaniel Hornblower) that results in a frenetic 90-minute rip through the Beasties' impressive catalogue. Dedicated fans will eat up every minute, but for casual heads, the end result is a hyperkinetic hit-and-miss affair. Then again, if you get bored, just wait a minute—there'll be something new to look at in no time.
