Can't get into Spidey 3? Tired of the same old thing? Don't have an attention span beyond eight minutes? Have we got the movie for you! Eighteen of the world's finest directors have teamed up to make this cinematic tribute to Paris (France, not Texas, dummy). And it's almost better than having a first-class ticket to the legendary city itself. Paris, Je T'aime is a fantastic trip to the City of Lights through the eyes of some of the world's greatest stars and filmmakers. They have created a truly memorable movie experience like no other. Taking the theme of love and relationships, the film hits 18 distinct Parisian neighborhoods and manages to get 18 completely different interpretations of that theme, none lasting more than a few minutes. The Coen Brothers (Fargo) strand Steve Buscemi in an underground subway to hilarious results; Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men) sends Nick Nolte off to meet a gorgeous young woman (Ludivine Sagnier) that takes an unexpected turn; Alexander Payne (Sideways) turns the world's most recognizable language on its ear in the most unique travelogue ever; Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream) sets a battling engaged couple loose in a cemetery. The list goes on and on. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman, and a vampire-loving Elijah Wood are just some of the talented international actors who turn up in these entertaining vignettes. The great thing is if you don't like one, 10 minutes later a completely different experience awaits you. This may be the first film tailor-made for ADD sufferers; but really, it's for anyone looking for something off the beaten track.
