The Skinny: Fred Simmons is a strip mall tae kwon do instructor with a shaky marriage and an even shakier grasp on reality. But he does have an unflappable sense of his own awesomeness.

The Good: If you want to know why Danny McBride is suddenly popping up everywhere (The Heartbreak Kid, Hot Rod, Drillbit Taylor, and the upcoming Tropic Thunder and Pineapple Express), here's your answer. Foot Fist has been kicking around for a while, but now you can finally see how this low-budget indie comedy rides entirely on his shoulders. His doughy, hilarious shoulders.

The Bad: There is some down time when the laughs don't come as fast or furious, but even those are eventually erased by truly gut-busting moments. And the movie sometimes awkwardly shifts gears from goofy pratfalls to squirmy discomfort.

This World Is a Dark, Dark Forest... Just get comfortable with the fact that you'll immediately want to see this movie a second time so that you can more accurately quote it.

Theater, DVD, or TNT in Five Years? It'll take some digging, but find a theater and go, that way you'll have a head start on the noobs who'll only discover this on DVD.
