The Skinny: A sensitive nice guy (Jason Biggs) gets dumped by his too-hot-for-him-anyway girlfriend (Kate Hudson), so he hires his friend Tank (Dane Cook), who just happens to make his living as an "asshole for hire"—taking women on disastrous dates so they go running back to their old boyfriends. David Boreanaz–philes will recall this as the exact plotline of the Bones star's 2006 straight-to-DVD effort Mr. Fix It.

The Good: Alec Baldwin. The one star we're giving this movie is for him and him alone. He has settled into a comedy groove that no one can shake him out of. His few scenes are like a glass of ice water in the arid desert of endless Dane Cook mugging.

The Bad: We will say this: Tank is really good at what he does. His antics not only drive away every woman in the movie, it'll likely drive away half the audience, too. This movie is an irritating series of irritating scenes featuring some of the most unlikable characters you've ever been forced to associate with. This feels like a huge step back for Hudson. Hell, this is a step back for Biggs, and that guy hasn't been within sniffing distance of a hit since he fucked a pie.

Whaaa? You had the R rating. You had the sex talk banter. You had Diora Baird. But what do you do, Best Friend's Girl? Oh, that's right—you cast her as Hudson's prudish sister. Shameful. Just shameful.

Theater, DVD, or TNT in Five Years? This should have followed its predecessor straight to video. It'd be much easier to ignore there.
