Rendition

Only Hollywood could make a movie about torture this boring. A bunch of high-profile actors—Jake Gyllenhaal, Reese Witherspoon, Peter Sarsgaard and Meryl Streep—take on the hot-button issue of torturing possible terrorists to gather information. When the movie is not trying to deliver a message, it's got some decent moments. But the first hour had us waiting for something really interesting to happen, and the second hour didn't deliver nearly enough to make this any better than a well cast movie-of-the-week.
