The Skinny: A newly wed couple (Joshua Jackson and Rachael Taylor) take a business trip/honeymoon to Japan, only to be pestered by that company's number one export: pale ghost girls with a fondness for electronic devices. Many scares (OK, sound effects, at least) ensue.

The Good: Not to sound too much like, well, us, but there are an inordinate amount of hot women in this movie. Normally you get one hottie in peril and a dead goth girl in a well—Shutter at least took the time to populate Japan with plenty of hot pants and see-through tops.

The Bad: Have you seen The Grudge, The Ring, The Eye, or Dark Water? Then move along, nothing new to see here. Shutter is J-horror Mad Libs that attempts to squeeze terror out of endless sequences of people snapping Polaroids. In the end, it all just amounts to the simplest of Man Rules: You don't break up with crazy.

Creepiest Moment: The twist on Psycho's "Dead Momma in the Chair" jolt is pretty cool. Too bad it's being spoiled in the trailers.
