What It Really Is: A really interesting documentary, if you’re a film nerd. They managed to wrangle a truly  impressive roster of directors for this one, and come at the issue from every possible perspective. Listening to people like Scorsese talk over clips of Sin City and The Social Network is more than enough to send a movie geek into a faint, so if you pride yourself on your DVD collection, you’ll love this. But for everyone else, it can err too much on the technical side.

Who’s It For: People who collect movie ticket stubs, douches who throw words like “auteur” around, the small but devoted cult of Keanu followers who always wanted to see him talk to David Lynch
