Jamie Foxx goes from the Academy Awards to the bargain bins in this confused mix of Top Gun and 2001: A Space Odyssey that crashes and burns like one of its overblown special effects explosions. Not surprisingly, the extras focus on the massive action sequences, which are a lot easier to swallow when they're not surrounded by a bunch of mindless dialogue. "Harnessing Speed" hops inside the cockpit for a fast and furious tour through the Australian warehouse where most of the flick was shot. The MX multi-angle featurette keeps pace, allowing you to toggle through different views of a four-second movie explosion that took three months to set up and 14 cameras to shoot. The rest of the action comes in "Detailed and Declassified," which dives bomb-first into a building from three different angles, at which point you'll be wondering how the movie wound up failing so miserably at the box office. For your answer, just insert disc one and press play.
