He’s a mouse. He drives a miniature car to school. He’s on the soccer team. Not much of this makes sense, but it doesn’t have to—it’s a kid’s movie. With that in mind, Little 2 delivers what it promises: a mouse on an adventure in New York City. After finally making an animal friend—a bird voiced by Melanie Griffith—Stuart’s life is looking good. But before long, little Stuart is betrayed by his new friend and the chase is on. The special effects make the action shots bearable and the villainous falcon, voiced by James Woods, should scare the bejeebus out of most children. Unfortunately, the same effects make some of Stuart’s movements seem too computer-generated, rendering him much more creepy than cuddly. Oh, and Geena Davis (as Stuart’s curvy mom) is still hot.
