Talladega Nights is the summer comedy winner that clocks more laughs per minute than any other. In a movie that tailgates the story from Cars, Will Ferrell is a wildly successful NASCAR driver who hits rock bottom and must claw his way back to the top. After a few recent misses, Ferrell hits his comic peak, back in top form and sending up the NASCAR culture with style and smarts. In strong support are John C. Reilly, Amy Adams, and the hilarious Sacha Baron Cohen as a light-in-the-loafers French rival. Note should also be made of the riotous product placement, which careens out of control here, just as it does in the real racing world. At one point, Bobby's Wonder Bread car has a Fig Newtons ad splayed across the windshield. Here's our endorsement: Talladega Nights is definitely worth a pit stop at your local multiplex.
