The Skinny: Simply one of the best sequels ever made, Terminator 2: Judgment Day still stands as a technical masterpiece—which really shines in the Blu-Ray format. Prepare to be reduced to a puddle of liquid metal goo.

The Good: Again, the original T2 was a stand-out on the old DVD format, so it stands to reason that a special edition Blu-Ray would be a similar high-water mark. From the menu interface to the sound (which is suitably subwoofer-punishing), this is a top notch presentation. The disc features both the theatrical version and the special edition versions of the film, and a lot of fun (if not hugely substantial) special features.

The Bad: The commentaries aren't new, so odds are you've heard all of these anecdotes before, and, like we said, the special features—trivia tracks and sync'd-up picture and script presentations—are fun but not terribly meaty. But it's nothing that should dissuade you, however.

Best Extra: By entering the code "82997" into the Select Version menu, you can access the Extended Special Edition cut of the movie, which features a different ending. Also, we'd like to again point out that this DVD is available in a killer 6-disc Complete Collector's Set as well.

Buy, Rent, or Ignore: This is a buy, no question.
