A farmer builds a shuttle in his barn to fulfill a lifelong dream of going into space. Yep, it's about as interesting as it sounds. Billy Bob Thornton plays the hillbilly farmer that get his dream crapped on at every turn for 90 percent of the movie before proving everyone wrong. (Sorry if you consider that a spoiler, but come on, it would have been unbearable if the dude failed.) It's a kids' movie with some heart, and Thornton is solid as the rebellious dreamer, but we'd have preferred more Apollo 13 than cheesy after-school-special. Hell, we would have even accepted Space Camp.
