If you missed The Bourne Identity in the theater, we understand. Matt Damon is often given a bad rap because of his less talented friend Ben Affleck, but dont hate on Damon because of this Afflecktiontheyre not even in the same sport when it comes to acting. Damon plays Jason Bourne, an assassin whos lost his memory but can still recall how to beat the unholy junk out of people. He teams with Franka Potent (Run Lola Run) to do lots of cool spy shit and find out why everyone wants to kill him.
Parts Ronin, Three Days of the Condor, and every other great spy film ever made, director Doug Liman (Swingers) puts together a nice, light collectors edition DVD here. Its got just enough to give a good film its due without going overboard. The deleted scenes were rightly excised from the final cut, as was the alternate ending, but are fine DVD fodder.
