Matt Damon took another giant step away from Ben Affleck's career arc in this slick spy flick about an amnesic Special Ops agent who can't remember who he is but has no trouble remembering how to kick ass and leave names. And, just in case you bumped your head since the last DVD release, The Bourne Identity: Explosive Extended Edition is here to shamelessly remind you that there's a sequel coming out in two weeks! To be fair, it's also here to build on the special features from the original DVD release. The bookend feature delivers the alternate intro and finale, complete with an explanation from director Doug Liman and star Brian Cox. "Bourne Mastermind" chronicles the career of author Robert Ludlum, who created the intricate Bourne series, while "Access Granted" interviews screenwriter Tony Gilroy about how to chop all of the author's hard work down into the two-hour Hollywood thriller mold. "Identity to Supremacy" is a brief making-of that pumps up the sequel, and "Inside a Fight Sequence" shows Damon training to handle his own stunts. "Cloak and Dagger: Covert Ops" delivers the best feature, stepping behind the CIA's doors with a retired agent. We'd love to tell you more, but then, you know, we'd have to write more.
