The Descent (Unrated)

The same way we fell in love with Feast earlier this year we have found a similar admiration for The Descent, and it ranks up there as one of the most gory movies we've ever seen. A group of six women go cave diving and come across some disgustingly violent creatures that live deep underground. Once they encounter the "crawlers" things get so messy that we were stunned by the glorious amounts of blood, entrails and maulings. Starring a cast of lovely foreign actress, who are the coolest group of chicks throughout the behind-the-scenes documentaries, we were pleasantly blown away and thoroughly terrorized. It's like Deliverance meets Dawn of the Dead meets Gollum's psychopathic, flesh-eating relatives. If all chick flicks were like this then women would never hear us complain when they pick a movie again. We promise!
