The Skinny: Fred Simmons (Danny McBride) is a strip mall tae kwon do instructor with a shaky marriage and an even shakier grasp on reality. But he does have an unflappable sense of his own awesomeness. It's one of those raunchy yet subtle comedies that might not knock you out the first time, but it'll stick with you.

Danny McBride, Comedy Star: McBride, who already solidified himself as a scene-stealer in Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder, won over Hollywood's comedy elite with this low-budget indie.

Reminded Us Of… For better or worse, Napoleon Dynamite, mainly due to its low-budget style. However—it's dirtier, funnier, and isn't trying to be hip.

The Good: McBride manages to create an original, but very familiar, character who's a huge dick but also really likable; it has the feel of a down-to-earth independent movie without any pretense or snobbery; it's funny as fuck.

The Bad: There are a few slow parts, and some people won't find this type of comedy funny. (We call those people "jerks.")

Weirdest Extra: There's a horrible half-hour "behind-the-scenes" documentary, which is a collection of scattered footage set to weird music. This goes on, as we said earlier, for a half hour, and is completely pointless and stupid. On the plus side, there's a commentary and a bunch of hilarious deleted/extended scenes.

Only Available at Best Buy: We don't know why, but you can only get this DVD at Best Buy. Really? We can see the massive electronics retailer getting exclusive rights to the next Narnia, but a very obscure and highly profane comedy? Whatever.
